Last night I sat and stitched! I love hand stitching! Stitching is reflection time. Mind journaling time. Sorting out time. Recognition time. This summer I crossed another milestone, the unanticipated loss of a cherished sibling. I live at a distance, plans unfolded quickly and I missed the celebration of his life. Then the revelation that yet another sibling suffers from heart ailments. It’s time to take stock and to examine priorities....

I’m slowly recovering from the mammoth task of completing ‘Aspen Moment’ to a point where it could be photographed and a show submission completed!  I’ve discovered that working in a confined space does not make large pieces like this an easy task! Work is progressing slowly – and ground to a halt when I received a call from hubby inviting me to join him in Welling AB for the weekend.  He’s been away for two months!  The panels are almost complete, the canopy of leaves is underway, now to tackle the ground underneath!
