Winter Sunrise From My Window in Calgary
Sometime ‘life’ is dominating my thoughts and work. Sometimes these little windows into my world don’t fit neatly anywhere else so they get listed under ‘This and That!’ Sometimes an issue requires a rant. Or I just feel like sharing something that is important or has touched me in someway.
Last week, before a long weekend filled with visitors, I worked on a couple of watercolor paintings. They were definitely ‘painterly’ and not ‘artistic’. The effort left me decidedly frustrated and I turned for a short time to a beading project (to come) while I processed what had happened and strategized on a new approach. Dinner Thursday night with Dena Crain, a textile artist from Nakuru Kenya, was such a treat. And it was so much more fun to work the market mall with others while comparing notes.
