Description
This is as Good as it Gets! was the first in a series of framed fibre art pieces created in 2008. It was originally shown in the ‘Emergence’ group show and feedback encouraged me to start a series for my solo show ‘Story Pictures’ later in the year.
My thanks to Pamela Allen for the inspiration for this series. I was fortunate to be able to take a course with Pamela earlier that year and under her tutelage my quilt/ fibre art took a turn into a less realistic approach.
This piece was a lot of fun to create and was inspired by my sister’s approaching 60th birthday. The fabrics used in this piece were mainly from some of her 4-H and high school home-economic course projects.
