While walking along a Lake Ontario beach one ‘Canadian’ Thanksgiving weekend, I found this Monarch butterfly that had not made the journey south for the winter. The fragments surrounding it, suggested that a recent storm may have contributed to it’s demise. There was something haunting about this touch of colour on the pastel beach.
