I’ve just been notified that the LaConner Quilt and Textile Museum has featured my work in promotion of an upcoming art show! Wow! This is a first for me! Earlier in the year I posted some ‘in progress information’ (here )but was hesitant to show the finished piece until the upcoming show was announced. Now here it is!
They even posted my detail shot!

This was an interesting project as I worked with a partner. Judi MacLeod from Victoria BC (whom I have yet to meet in person but with whom I share a mutual friend) developed an abstract piece based on my ‘realistic’ interpretation of this lichen. When we were planning this project we each submitted a photo of the same specie of fungi to the other for consideration as subject matter. So a lichen it was for this project.
