Description
This is one of a fibre art/ quilt art series entitled ‘Story Pictures’ prepared for a solo exhibition in 2008. It’s amazing the inspiration one can find in everyday life! This piece was created as the neighbourhood children played outside. Texture was important in my fabric selection. I really enjoyed creating this series that was aimed at bridging the art/fibre controversy that was raging at the time this was created! Each piece was mounted on a painted canvas that amplified the ‘story’ of the piece and then framed in a floating frame.
